BCWAS Bus Tour

September 11th -12th 2010

Be one of the lucky 48 people on BCWAS’ Fifth Annual Bus Tour! This year we’re doing Summerland (Bottleneck Drive) and the Naramata Bench. Highlights will include lunch at Lake Breeze Vineyards on Saturday as well as lunch on Sunday catered by Joy Road Catering, the same folks who did such a great job for us last year. We will also attend the Naramata Tailgate Party on Saturday night – a great wine party!

The price this year will be only $310 for members. That’s $50 cheaper than last year!

Our tour includes two lunches and a dinner, all paired with wines. Attendees are responsible for their own breakfasts – we recommend that you eat a good breakfast both days! All rooms have kitchens.

 We will have water and snacks on the bus.  Please let us know in advance if you have allergy concerns.

 Rooms

 Motel rooms are not included in the price of the tour. We have reserved a block of 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom suites at the Tiki Shores Motel, 914 Lakeshore Dr., Penticton,1-866-492-8769. Rooms have been reserved from Friday September 10 to Sunday September 12th. Rooms may be reserved for a shorter time. For anyone making alternate arrangements, the muster point is at the Tiki Shores Motel. We have been given a reduced rate of $59 for a 1-bedroom, $89 for 2-bedroom, not including whatever tax is in place at the time.  Make sure you mention BCWAS when booking to get the discount - ask for Tracy. We have 11 1-bedrooms and 6 2-bedrooms reserved until August 1st. There was limited space available due to the Penticton Jazz Festival going on the same weekend. If you know another couple that you like to travel with, breakfast just got easier and your rooms just got cheaper.

Just in case, we also have 6 1-bedrooms reserved at the Golden Sands Motel, 1028 Lakeshore Dr., 1-877-389-6888. Rooms are $80, pre-tax, ask for Heidi. Note: all rooms at both motels have kitchenettes.

Friday and Sunday dinners

We have arranged for informal and optional dinners on Friday and Sunday evenings. We have a restaurant within close walking distance, Salty’s Beach House, 1000 Lakeshore Dr.. We had a nice lunch there during our scouting mission in May.
