Laughing Stock Vineyards from Naramata is coming out to see us, and they’re bringing a great selection of their delicious and award-winning wines!
Cynthia and David Enns decided in the early 2000s to give up their jobs and follow their dream of owning a winery. After a lot of searching, they bought their Naramata property in 2003. Vines were planted in 2004, and their gravity-flow winery was built in 2005. If you’ve been to the property – located on a steep slope – you can see why a gravity-flow winery was a natural choice!
Having worked in the financial sector, Cynthia and David decided to name their winery and some of their wines with financially related names. To date, Laughing Stock’s wines include: Blind Trust White, Blind Trust Red, and their signature Bordeaux-style blend, Portfolio. Single varietals include:
Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, as well as their new, very limited Small Caps series, which includes Viognier, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. We are very lucky to be able to try the Small Caps wines, as they are not available anywhere else but the winery.
